We feature large full-sized slabs from around the world in a myriad of colors, hues and surface finishes.

From the Mountain to your Home

From the quarry to shipping container…

Stone quarries can been found all around the world and are, usually, located in very remote regions. The following images have been organized to show the viewer a brief overview of where and how stones are quarried.

From this aerial view of a quarry, you can see how the mountain is cut into in stages. It is also possible to see some "blocks" of stone being prepared to be removed.

Workers begin the process of cutting blocks out of the mountain.

The blocks of stone are then moved to the slab cutting facility.  
 

Notice the multiple blades on the saw which cut the block into uniform slabs.  
Next, slabs are polished or can be honed, antiqued, brushed, flamed or finished in a variety of ways.

Once the slabs have been safely bundled together in a shipping container, they are placed aboard a ship and sent to distributors worldwide.
